TCG140-4 is a 4G LTE universal IO module for remote monitoring and control over cellular networks.

Description

TCG140-4 is a 4G LTE universal IO module that supports LTE Cat.1 communication with upload speeds of up to 5 Mbit. Additionally, it is compatible with 3G and 2G networks, providing data connectivity across LTE-FDD, DC-HSDPA, HSPA+, HSDPA, HSUPA, WCDMA, EDGE, and GPRS. As a result, the device can operate in nearly any location with available cellular coverage.

The LTE universal IO module functions autonomously, yet it is specifically designed for M2M and IoT applications. For machine-to-machine communication, it supports both HTTP API and MQTT, enabling flexible integration. The device handles HTTP and HTTPS POST requests using XML or JSON formats, while MQTT allows efficient, lightweight messaging.

Moreover, the module includes multiple analog inputs for 0–10V signals and 0–20mA current loops. It also supports the MODBUS RTU interface, making it compatible with a wide range of industrial devices, including all Teracom sensors.

Thanks to its standard analog input ranges and MODBUS RTU interface, integrating the unit into industrial systems is straightforward and reliable.

TCG140-4 is the direct successor to the widely used TCG140. While both modules share identical input-output peripherals and digital interfaces, they differ in communication technologies and supported network bands. This ensures a seamless migration from the older 2G model to the newer 4G LTE version, especially in regions where 2G networks are being phased out.

For initial configuration, users can access the graphical interface through any standard browser. Furthermore, in the field, remote setup is possible via SMS or HTTP API commands. Firmware updates can also be performed over the air, adding flexibility during deployment.

The LTE universal IO module features a durable metal enclosure and includes mounting accessories for easy DIN-rail installation
