RFID Controllers

The common definition of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is a technology that uses radio waves to identify objects carrying tags when they come close to a reader. There are a lot of systems, but the general principle is that unique serial number stored on the tag is used to separate different tag.

Key points

The most common systems use passive RF identification tags. Their popularity is based on fact that they are virtually maintenance-free. When such a tag approaching close enough to the antenna, it is powered by the electromagnetic field and transmit to the reader its unique number.

We design and manufacture controllers for radio frequency identification operating at 125 kHz with EM4102 compatible tags.

All controllers have a serial communication interface for add/delete of tags and change the device settings. For easy setup, we recommend LockyMonitor2 software. It is free for download and use.

Some of our RFID controllers operate as stand-alone devices. The customer can use them for access control, control of usage for electrical and electronic equipment and systems, etc.
Using the built-in serial interface, another part of our RFID controllers support communication with PC or PLC in real time. In this case, the third-party software takes decisions on the validity of the approached tag. So the integrators can use them for small systems of access control, scheduled access to machines and equipment, time attendance, etc.
