iReasoning MIB browser is a powerful and easy-to-use tool powered by iReasoning SNMP API. MIB browser is an indispensable tool for engineers to manage SNMP enabled network devices and applications. It allows users to load standard, proprietary MIBs, and even some mal-formed MIBs. The free personal edition is intended exclusively for private use on a single workstation. You may copy the complete program package and pass it on to others for private use only. The free personal edition may not be used for commercial or professional purposes.
This article describe how to use iReasoning MIB browser with TCW122B-CM
1. Download and install iReasoning MIB browser
2. Update TCW122B-CM with the latest firmware
The latest firmware can be downloaded from the product page of TCW122B-CM.
3. Download the latest MIB file
The latest MIB file can be downloaded from the product page of TCW122B-CM or through SNMP Setup page (“Download MIB File”) of the controller.
4. Load MIB file to iReasoning
This could be done from File -> Load MIBs.
5. Check iReasoning settings
Settings can be checked from Tools -> Options -> Agent Values
Default values must be:
Agent Port: 161
Agent ReadCommunity: public
Agent WriteCommunity: private
Agent SNMP version: 2
6. Enable SNMP of TCW122B-CM
This could be done from SNMP Setup page of the controller website.
7. Read SNMP parameters
Ensure that IP address in the Address bar is the same as IP address of the controller.
Select parameter and click with right button and select Get command.
8. Write SNMP parameters
Right click on the parameter and select Set command.
As an example, if you want to set Sensor1 Max range to 30 C so type value 300. Note that the desired value must be multiplied by 10.
9. Traps receiving
This could be done from the menu Tools -> Trap Receiver.
As an example – set the value of the Sensor 1 Max range below the current sensor value. In the right window of MIB browser, a trap should appear. Note that the controller has a limit of the maximum number of 253 traps for each parameter.
