We are pleased to announce a significant update to the TCG120-4, our compact and powerful 4G LTE wireless I/O module. The device now supports receiving SMS commands not only from standard mobile numbers and short codes, but also from virtual numbers commonly used by cloud communication platforms like Twilio, Nexmo, and others.

This enhancement enables easier integration with cloud-based automation systems, monitoring platforms, and web-controlled environments, where SMS messages are often sent from virtual interfaces rather than physical mobile phones. It simplifies communication between the TCG120-4 and various IoT or building management systems.

This new capability expands the already versatile set of services offered by the TCG120-4, which includes remote control via SMS, event-driven notifications, scheduled task execution, and secure communication using both HTTPS POST and MQTT protocols. The module can send data to remote servers and receive control messages over MQTT subscribe topics — all without requiring a public IP.

With its secure 4G LTE connectivity, flexible configuration, and reliable communication protocols, the TCG120-4 is a practical solution for industrial automation, remote control, and IoT integration.
